What happens if the battery dies whilst closed?
The Secreture NFC lock runs on 2 × AA batteries and delivers up to 6,000 uses per cycle. When the batteries are running low, the lock gives a low battery warning, leaving around 100 additional unlocks.
If the batteries are completely drained, the system is designed to automatically unlock, ensuring you can never be locked out of your hidden compartment.
